My name is Nam, and I have recently finished school, and I am currently staying with a family friends. I dream of continuing my education at university, but I am facing this journey alone. I lost my parents and brother at just 8 years old, and since then I have been living in Congo with very limited support.
Life in Congo is especially dangerous for a young woman, and every day brings new risks and uncertainty.
Through this campaign, I hope to get the chance for a better life—to study and to help immigrate to Cyprus, where my only brother now lives, I can finally have safety, stability, and the opportunity to build a brighter future. Thank you LGK for changing my life.Â
My name is Errikos Alexiou, I’m a 19-year-old undergraduate student embarking on a journey in computer science at London South Bank University (LSBU) to pursue a career in cybersecurity. I am inspired to follow this path to help protect the vulnerable from digital fraud. Thanks to LGK in the Community I was able to continue with my studies. I have now graduated from the Spread the Love Scheme and I am eternally grateful.Â
I am currently pursuing a PhD in Theology and was blessed to be a recipient of the Spread the Love Scheme at LGK for 16 months. I am forever grateful for this support from LGK and for the generosity of the sponsors who allowed me to dedicate time to my doctoral studies as well as support my family. It has been an enriching experience that has also opened up my eyes to the many humanitarian good works that LGK provide. This experience with LGK, as well as my research itself, has not only benefited my academic pursuits but also helped me develop in my pastoral role towards my community. Thank you for giving me this opportunity.
