Exploring female legacy and celebrating and preserving heritage within your community.
We are delighted to share our vision for expanding Queens of the City. Since 2014, LGK has been dedicated to storytelling and culture. We believe every city holds hidden narratives waiting to be captured through a creative lens, and we would love to explore how we can bring these stories to life together.
We run heritage and belonging workshops in community hubs and schools, building relationships and identifying the women whose stories and heritage should be celebrated.
We research, photograph and film the women selected, recording their memories, experiences and connections to the city through interviews and oral history.
We also train local students as Heritage Ambassadors, giving young people practical experience in documenting and preserving local heritage through media.
We bring together artists, schools, communities and local partners to transform the women’s stories into creative public outcomes, such as a mural trail, installations, soundtracks, menus, digital content and exhibitions, giving the stories a life beyond the project.
Our five phased approach take your queens on a journey of discovery capturing them through film, audio and food. Celebrating them in a workshop of belonging and culminating there existence in a mural trail across your city through augmented reality.
Capturing living history through cinematic film and interactive digital technology to bring local narratives to a modern global audience.
Utilizing expressive portraiture and mixed media to visualize the profound influence women have on the borough’s cultural and artistic landscape.
Celebrating food as a powerful storytelling medium that connects generations and honors the diverse traditions woven into the local community.
Recognising the dedicated women who shape their neighborhoods through social innovation, leadership, and a commitment to communal growth.
Preserving the spoken word and personal journeys to ensure that the vital heritage of our borough is documented for future generations.
As part of Queens of the City, LGK trained students as Heritage Ambassadors, developing their skills in heritage preservation through media, including filming, photography and interviews.
The model can be adapted for students in other cities, giving young people a role in documenting and sharing the heritage of their own communities.

We collaborate with local partners to identify women reflecting the city’s unique character. Through filmed interviews, professional photography, and deep archive research, we capture authentic oral histories and preserve the individual narratives that define a community’s heritage.
We develop bespoke creative outputs shaped by the specific identity and history of your city. These narratives are shared through immersive public exhibitions, digital platforms, and community-centric venues like schools and local spaces, ensuring every story resonates with its residents.
We begin by immersing ourselves within the community, conducting deep research to uncover hidden local stories. This initial stage ensures every project is rooted in genuine lived experiences and authentic regional heritage.
LGK manages the full journey from raw research to artistic execution. Our refined production process transforms community insights into sophisticated cultural assets, ensuring high-quality results that maintain a strong contemporary focus.
The process culminates in high-impact public presentations. Using the successful Walsall project as a blueprint, we create immersive experiences that celebrate identity and foster meaningful cultural engagement for all audiences.
