Burger

Ingredients

2 tbsp olive oil
Large onion, finely chopped
2 crushed garlic cloves
85g breadcrumbs
450g minced turkey or beef
1 large grated carrot
Sliced tomato
Shredded lettuce
1 beaten egg
Bread rolls

Method

Heat the oil, add the onions and fry for 5 mins until soft. Add the garlic and cook for a further 1 min.

Add the mince and grated carrot and cook until golden brown.

Cool slightly, add the breadcrumbs and egg, and shape into burger patties.

Place onto a lined baking tray, and cook in the oven (180 °C) for 15 mins.

Put the burgers into bread rolls with a slice of tomato, cheese and shredded lettuce and serve.
