Food Bank

Amathus to Birmingham

LGK in the Community in partnership with a series of other local community organisations has been part of a festive food back in partnership with the Birmingham Frankfurt Christmas markets, and a series of other main food distributors in Birmingham. Over the past 2 years we have managed to feed over 1800 people during the festive season. The food bank has been based at Holford drive community Sports HUB for the last 2 years around the 23rd of December.  Charities, homeless shelters, churches and other religious establishments are amongst those who collect an allocated food pack from our army of volunteers. We have since this progressed and have had funding from Awards for All  national lottery and sponsorship to purchase a vehicle to continue the food bank scheme on a monthly basis which is currently being organised by the LGK commitee.Click edit button to change this text.
